The Toilet Board Coalition has selected the next Cohort of entrepreneurs for its 2022 Accelerator. This seventh round of the programme attracted 100+ applicants, of which 27 were included in the shortlist, and 8 were ultimately selected by our board members. We are proud to introduce you to the 8 companies of the 2022 Accelerator Programme:
Banka Bioloo
Integrated sanitation provider that builds bio-digesters, bio-toilets, water saving toilets, small FSTPs and STPs, and carries out toilet O&M. Customers include government bodies and private companies.
Envirosan
Manufactures and sells a wide range of dry, flush and pour-flush plastic toilets. Also offers toilet accessories like child toilet lid, fly screens, vent sockets, handwash, doors and latches. O&M is a key focus. Customers include municipalities, NGO, schools.
Satsense
Use satellites and AI to carry out integrated watershed management including pollution mapping, optimized STP planning and waste monitoring. SaaS model; customers are governments, utilities and development agencies.
EcoLoo India
Waterless toilet which uses a bacterial mixture to treat waste and generate a safe liquid fertilizer, within 3-4 days. Target customers includes NGOs and governments.
Altersoft
Intelligent Public Toilet cleans toilet and floors automatically after each use. IoT control board monitors electronic interfaces inside toilet. Current customers are government bodies.
Anabio
Flushable sanitary pads made of 80% wood or pulp and 15% green polymer. They biodegrade within weeks of entering the sewage system.
Bashomi
The “swallowing toilet” <1 litre of water per flush. The P-trap is flexible and straightens when flushed. Targets households in water scarce areas.
Tierra Grata
Tierra Grata builds toilets for rural customers, using 100% recycled plastic. It has a waterless urine-separating composting toilet and optional shower. Customers use microcredit to pay for construction.
