This year, 23 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across Africa, Asia, and Latin America graduated from the Toilet Board Coalition Accelerator, driving innovation in the Sanitation Economy across 11 countries.
The Accelerator connects entrepreneurs with corporate mentors from LIXIL, Unilever and Kimberly-Clark, blending corporate expertise and SME innovation to scale impactful business models, fuelling sustainable SDG 6 impact at the community level.
In Latin America, the Sanitation Economy is projected to reach $19.2 billion by 2030, creating 2.4 million livelihoods, and entrepreneurs are leading the charge. This year, we are thrilled to graduate 5 SMEs from Latin America — two from Guatemala, one from Peru, and two from Colombia.
Thanks to the support of the Inter-American Development Bank, IDB Lab, Source of Innovation and Water For People, the Toilet Board Coalition Accelerator has been supporting SMEs in Latin America since 2023.

YAKUFIL - Peru
YAKUFIL is specialised in the development of sustainable technologies for the management and treatment of wastewater and solid waste in compliance with environmental regulations.
