New Staff Appointments: Toilet Board Coalition Welcomes New Directors in India and Geneva in 2020
The Toilet Board Coalition (TBC) adds to its growing team two new Directors who will join the Secretariat’s management teams in 2020 to implement the TBC’s 2020-2025 strategy. Dr. Nimish Shah will be the TBC’s inaugural Managing Director of the Toilet Board Coalition India commencing 1 January 2020. Greg Davies will join the TBC’s Geneva team as Director of Finance, HR and Administration commencing 1 February 2020.
The Toilet Board Coalition is a business led public-private partnership of global organisations with the joint ambition to accelerate the Sanitation Economy. Its members are multinational corporations, innovators, development experts, investors and donors. The Sanitation Economy has the potential to transform the economics of sanitation from unaffordable public costs into sustainable business opportunities. Via the Sanitation Economy, sanitation is a net contributor to human rights, new resources, and data with vast opportunities for business and society.
Nimish Shah will lead the Toilet Board Coalition India Secretariat, the TBC’s first local market Chapter, which will begin its operations in January 2020. Dr. Shah joins the TBC India from Unilever where he has led global Research & Development teams, and strategic partnership initiatives for Hindustan Unilever in India. He brings deep technical expertise across water, sanitation, food safety, health and hygiene. Dr. Shah has been engaged with the TBC since its origins in his capacities with Unilever and most recently as the Unilever member delegate of the TBC’s Partnership Council. The TBC’s India Chapter has been established in India in October 2019 as a Section 8 company and signals the increased investment of global and local businesses in accelerating the Sanitation Economy in India.
Greg Davies brings vast experience in transforming organisations for growth. He joins the TBC’s global Secretariat in Geneva to lead the strategic finance, HR and administration of the TBC’s 2020-2025 growth strategy. Mr. Davies has been the CFO for the World Business Council for Sustainable Development from 2010-2018 and has held senior finance, human resources and administration positions in global organisations such as mining sector giant Alcoa, IATA the International Air Transport Association and Initiatives of Change. Mr. Davies is a certified accountant with purpose and passion to enable organisations to optimise their potential for significant impact.
