The Accelerator is beneficial for both the mentors and the entrepreneurs, and I am so grateful for the experience. Working with the sanitation entrepreneurs inspires me – they are all so passionate about creating a business model that solves the sanitation and societal challenges in agile ways.

Corporate Engagement

Why

Why

The Accelerator matches global business leaders and investors with innovative sanitation solutions and insights, facilitating vital partnerships, opening up new markets, and fuelling sustainable SDG 6 impact at the community level.

How

How

We invite select companies to join the Steering Committee, allowing businesses to lead their sector in a collaborative space, connect with industry leaders and shape the Toilet Board Coalition strategy.

As Members, corporates engage by:

  • Mentoring entrepreneurs in the 12-month Accelerator programme
  • Participating in regional and global events, driving collaboration and impact in their sector

Funder Engagement

Why

Through catalytic grant funding, our model leverages private sector engagement to create lasting SDG 6 impact at the community level. Grants can scale market-driven solutions, ensuring impact continues long after the initial funding.

How

We provide opportunities for grants to fund the Toilet Board Coalition Accelerator, building on our proven model to scale impact globally.

As Funders, you can engage by:

  • Connecting with the SMEs portfolio
  • Participating in regional and global events, driving collaboration and impact in their sector

We have a strong track record of securing and growing catalytic funding:

  • Asia (2016-2024): A four-year global award led to a five-year extension in India, proving our model’s success.
  • West Africa (2023): With Aqua for All’s support, we launched in French-speaking Africa—leading to substantial funding for the region.
  • Latin America (2023): With the support of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the IDB Lab, we expanded into Spanish-speaking markets.
  • Southeast Asia (2025): Asian Development Bank (ADB) funding is now enabling a launch in Cambodia, adding Khmer to the Accelerator.

The billion-dollar Sanitation Economy presents a massive opportunity, and additional funding will allow us to continue to expand and accelerate change.
