Scaling Regional Impact & Leadership Transition

From Greg Davies, CEO of the Toilet Board Coalition

“The Toilet Board Coalition enters its next chapter with strong momentum and growing global impact.

Over the past years, we have built a proven model for accelerating business solutions to the sanitation crisis. Through our Accelerator, we have graduated 111 SMEs, reaching more than 13 million people every day and unlocking over US$49 million in finance. These businesses are demonstrating that sanitation solutions can be commercially viable, scalable, and transformative for communities around the world.

We have expanded our work across Africa, Asia, and Latin America, delivered in English, French, Spanish, and Khmer. This impact is thanks to our Members and partners. Your engagement powers this work.

This year, we have welcomed our largest cohort to date, 24 SMEs, including 13 female-led businesses, the highest number in our history. As we approach 2030 and reflect on how to accelerate impact further, there is a clear opportunity to become more regionally focused. We will be rationalising our footprint and localising our teams, ensuring we are positioned closer to governments, entrepreneurs, and partners who are driving sanitation solutions within their own contexts.

From 30 June, I will step down as CEO and Lindelani Xaba our Director of Acceleration, based in South Africa, will lead the organisation going forward. Erin McCusker will remain Chair of the Toilet Board Coalition, providing leadership continuity on strategy and governance.

This evolution strengthens our alignment with regional priorities and ensures that solutions are not only designed for impact, but embedded where they are needed most.”

From Erin McCusker, Chair of the Toilet Board Coalition

“As we look ahead, we do so from a position of strength. The organisation has demonstrated clear impact, a proven model, and a growing global footprint. The next phase is about deepening that impact, strengthening regional presence, and accelerating the entrepreneurs who are reshaping the Sanitation Economy.

With great appreciation for Greg’s outstanding leadership, we move forward with confidence in the team, the Members, and the shared commitment that continues to drive this important work.”
