Sunil is trained as an Economist with specialization in Development Economics. He brings fifteen years of experience working with consulting firms, NGOs, government agencies, academia and informal sector workers to his current position at the Toilet Board Coalition. As a consultant for Ernst & Young LLP, Sunil worked with the Pune Municipal Corporation’s solid waste management department providing technical advisory support, developing waste management policies and improving the overall performance of the department.
He has worked on numerous assignments related to water and sanitation, urban governance viz. urban local body’s budget simplification, participatory budgeting, conceptualizing the process for creating a shared vision for a region. He has also worked on creating urban body’s asset inventory and a few projects on natural resources management under climate change adaptation programs.
