Live Panel Event: Circular Agriculture & Sanitation

For World Toilet Day, the Toilet Board Coalition (TBC) and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) invite you to join a live panel event: Circular Agriculture and Sanitation – the Link for increased resilience and sustainability for small scale farmers

Join us in a conversation with pioneering businesses and voices in sanitation and circular economies who are working at the intersection of SDG 2 (zero hunger) and SDG 6 (water and sanitation).

Speakers and participants will explore the challenges and opportunities of building more circular resource economies for agriculture.

Why is this important?
Since 2017, the Toilet Board Coalition has been working with its members, partners and social businesses to understand how sanitation systems can provide resource and nutrient solutions to the agricultural sector.

In 2021, FAO and TBC partnered to co-publish “Future proofing agriculture systems” as an important part of the equation towards educating stakeholders on circular nutrient and resource economies possible in agriculture.

In this live event, we will host the discussion on the barriers and opportunities to develop circular sanitation economies in the agriculture sector.

Sasha KooOshima, Deputy Director of Land and Water Division at UNFAO
